So much water has passed under the bridge since the publication of the Cadbury report and Code on good corporate governance in the UK in 1992.
There are fixed items on the board’s agenda that you cannot do without, for example agenda items covering continuing obligations emerging from regulatory or listing requirements, besides other fixtures such as quarterly management accounts and new business development.
Harmony at board level is critical to a company’s success, but perhaps even more important is the healthy relationship between the board of directors and the CEO.
